According to the Agreement for the implementation of the state task for the creation of planned and cartographic products of agricultural land and built-up areas of settlements for maintaining the state land cadastre within the framework of subprogram 100 “Formation of state land cadastre information” of budget program 259 “Increasing the availability of information on land resources” dated January 25, 2023 Year No. 1, the volume of work performed on the creation of digital agricultural maps by geographic information systems departments for the first half of 2023 amounted to a total area of 25,581.9 thousand hectares, including:

– parts of the territories of 5 (five) districts of the Karaganda region (Karkaraly, Bukhar-Zhyrau, Shetsky, Zhanaarkinsky and Aktogay) on an area of 13,100.1 thousand hectares;

– parts of the territories of 11 (eleven) districts of the Pavlodar region (Zhelezinsky, Kashyrsky, Uspensky, Aktogaysky, Pavlodarsky, Sharbaktynsky, Lebyazhinsky, Maysky, Bayanauylsky, Aksu city, Ekibastuz city) on an area of 7,566.4 thousand hectares ;

– parts of the territories of 6 (six) districts of the Kostanay region (Taranovsky, Auliekolsky, Karasusky, Kamystynsky, Nauryzymsky and Zhankeldynsky) on an area of 2,299.7 thousand hectares;

– parts of the territories of 8 (eight) districts of the Turkestan region (Shardarinsky, Kazygurtsky, Otyrarsky, Ordabasynsky, Tulkibassky, Aryssky, Tole Bi, and Shymkent city) on an area of 1,052.0 thousand hectares;

– parts of the territories of 3 (three) districts of the Kyzylorda region (Kazalinsky, Karmakshinsky and Zhalagashsky) on an area of 1,563.7 thousand hectares.

Thus, for the first half of 2023, 101,860.2 thousand hectares of agricultural land were digitized, or 49.6% of the area of the republic occupied by agricultural land with land infrastructure (total 205,469.2 thousand hectares).

In 2023, it is planned to create digital agricultural maps on an area of 68,812.0 thousand hectares, of which:

54,676.0 thousand hectares (26.6%) – creation of digital agricultural maps;

14,136.0 thousand hectares – bringing analogue maps to digital form.

Agricultural land has been digitized: 101,860.2 thousand hectares or 49.6% of the area of the republic occupied by agricultural land.

The digitization of agricultural land is planned to be completed by the end of 2024..
