Goals and objectives of digital agricultural maps: 

The purpose of creating digital agricultural maps is to form information and maintain the state land cadastre, to contain information about the spatial location, area, quality condition and actual use of agricultural land, to reflect up-to-date and reliable information about agricultural land.

Tasks for which digital agricultural maps can be used: 

• showing the natural features and the current state of agricultural land;
• formation of information of the state land cadastre;
• drawing up the balance of the lands of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the actual use of the land;
• displaying the structure of agricultural lands by their actual use and their reclamation status;
• improving the accuracy of defining boundaries and calculating land areas;
• determination of correction factors to the basic rates of payment for land plots;
• transfer of agricultural land from one type to another;
• providing information on the quality of land to improve soil fertility;
• conducting inventory and monitoring of agricultural land;
• identification of reserves for the development of new lands;
• conducting land management and control over the use and protection of land;
• providing detailed information in order to ensure the rational use and protection of land, the effectiveness of land management.
