The delegation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) visited the RSE “GISHAGI”

Delegation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) I visited the RSE “GISHAGI” today. The visit was organized in order to get acquainted with the production activities of the enterprise within the framework of the development of interaction, cooperation and equipment of the GIS laboratory of the enterprise.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) provides technical assistance to support innovative solutions for assessing land degradation (including salinization), preserving pasture productivity, improving pasture management systems, organizing agricultural production through the introduction of best practices and tools for integrating and scaling sustainable land use.

During the meeting, the delegation, which got acquainted in detail with the activities of the enterprise, noted the increased need for its products – up-to-date and reliable large-scale cartographic material in digital format for rational land use.

The success of any activity largely depends on close cooperation with target partners. In this regard, the hope was expressed about a possible large-scale partnership with available resources for the implementation of measures for the development of information systems for agriculture and food security, sustainable land management and planning.
