The Republican State Enterprise “State Institute of Agricultural Aerial Geodesic Surveys (GISHAGI)” was visited by Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Manataev Ruslan Ergalievich, together with the head of the State Land Cadastre Department of the Land Resources Management Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Uzbek Marat Bulatovich. During their visits, the guests got acquainted with the activities of the RSE “GISHAGI”.

The director of the enterprise Mukhamedov Bagdat Bakhtiyarovich showed the guests the process of producing agricultural maps and familiarized them with their contents. The familiarization included, among other things, information about the purpose and relevance of these maps in agriculture. The director also informed the guests about the ongoing work in a competitive environment and planned activities aimed at further development of the enterprise.

Also, during the event, a sightseeing tour of the enterprise building was held for guests. The visited objects of the excursion included a negative storage facility, where aerial survey materials of previous years are stored, and a museum where guests got acquainted with the history of the company’s development, including the stages of its formation and formation.

Questions during the meeting related to the digitization of agricultural land and the state land cadastre. Following the results of the visit, the prospects of using satellite images of high and ultra-high spatial resolution in agricultural mapping, as well as the creation of open-use maps, were discussed.
